Product description:
Propecia is the only pill that's FDA approved to stop male pattern
baldness and grow new hair in men. Propecia works by blocking or
reducing levels of the hormone DHT in the body. When levels of DHT are
high, the hair follicles on your head shrink until they can no longer
grow. By taking Propecia on a daily basis you can stop hair loss and
promote new hair growth in as little as 3 months.
How to use this product: Propecia can be taken with or without
meals. The normal recommended dose for men diagnosed with male pattern
hair loss is one 1mg tablet a day. Once you start treatment, DO NOT stop
taking Propecia without first consulting with your doctor.
Side effects: Propecia may cause side effects in some patients.
In clinical studies, side effects with Propecia were uncommon and did
not affect most men. A very small percentage of men experienced certain
sexual side effects, such as decreased sex drive and/or difficulty
achieving erections. These side effects occurred in less than 2% of men
and were reversible once treatment was stopped.
Precautions: If a woman who is pregnant with a male fetus absorbs
the active ingredient in Propecia, either by swallowing it or through
the skin, it may cause abnormal development of the baby's sex organs.
Therefore if you're a woman who is pregnant and you come into contact
with the active ingredient in PROPECIA, consult with your doctor
immediately. PROPECIA tablets are coated and will prevent contact with
the active ingredient during normal handling, provided that the tablets
are not broken or crushed.
Drug interactions: Since your doctor is familiar with your
medical history, any questions that you may have regarding drug
interactions with this product should be discussed with him/her.
